I am Lewis and in 2018 I had the crazy idea of running a 3000km trail the length of New Zealand.
The stunning Te Araroa encompasses beautiful beaches, pristine rainforests, mesmerising mountains and active volcanoes.
On January 6th, 2020, supported by Jill Male and Phil Martin, this crazy idea became reality.
‘I Tried to Run Really Far’, tells the story of this epic adventure. This will be an openly emotional account, sparing no detail of the gruelling difficulties – the failures as well as triumphs – involved in such an undertaking.
I set out to push my personal boundaries, raise money for a charity dear to my heart, and inspire others to find progress in their lives. Did I succeed? Come along to find out.
